012. Waka Mutsumi: ?

Yuzuki Nagumo was momentarily stunned, only to notice that Sachiko Toyokawa hadn’t loosened her grip but continued guiding him downward.
“Wait, where are you taking me?” he asked.
Sachiko’s tone was calm: “The school infirmary.”
“I’m sorry for pushing you down. Since you’re injured, I can’t just stand by. I have to treat the wound to prevent infection.”
She paused, then added, “If you accidentally get tetanus, it could be fatal.”
Yuzuki Nagumo: ???
When did she say we were going to the infirmary?!
We were almost at the classroom just moments ago...
Well, although the chance of tetanus is ridiculously low, seeing how serious Sachiko looked, he found it hard to argue.
He sighed, gave up struggling, and cooperated, letting her help him down the stairs.
Along the way, Sachiko’s strength was just right, so that Yuzuki didn’t have to rely entirely on her support like a cripple.
They stayed close for a while. Feeling the warmth emanating from Sachiko’s body, Yuzuki wondered:
“Could it be that this half-blood’s body temperature is naturally higher than normal?”
He didn’t dwell on it, instead focusing on adjusting his steps, trying to look like someone who genuinely needed assistance.
Slowly, they descended the stairs, crossed the corridor, and headed toward the school clinic.
The Moon Forest Girls’ Academy campus was large, divided into several teaching zones, with the junior high and senior high sections separated.
Walking along, Yuzuki couldn’t help but think: Sachiko, still in her third year of junior high, was clearly in her “pure Toyokawa” state—socially adept, fluent in speech, with a graceful, almost noble demeanor.
Not at all like the customer service Sachiko she would become in the future—worn down by life, her pride shattered time and again, exhaling a weary breath.
Right now, she still showed care and consideration for others.
At this moment, she was the same Sachiko Toyokawa who, even after the disbandment of the C group, remained someone her teammates still cared about.
There was no denying it: this succubus constitution was truly innate.
Yuzuki pondered silently, stealing a glance at Sachiko supporting him.
Her blue hair glistened faintly in the sunlight, her twin tails swayed gently with each step, and her face wore that familiar earnest expression.
Her eyes remained those golden orbs.
Those eyes were truly beautiful.
Yet, for half-bloods, unstable bloodlines were not a blessing but a curse of fate.
Supported all the way, Yuzuki’s mind raced with thoughts.
Before he could figure out how to handle this delicate situation, they had already arrived at the infirmary door.

He turned his head to glance at Sachiko and said:
“I’ll go in by myself.”
But as soon as the words left his mouth, Sachiko tightened her grip and pushed him forward slightly:
“That’s not how things are done.”
Before he could respond, she raised her hand to open the infirmary door and effortlessly half-lifted, half-supported Yuzuki inside.
The infirmary was as quiet as ever, faintly scented with disinfectant. The curtains were half-drawn, letting slivers of sunlight spill across the clean wooden floor.
The school nurse behind the desk looked up, surprised to see a boy being helped in by a girl.
A transfer student on his first day already coming to the infirmary with a female student’s support?
“Oh my,” she smiled warmly, setting her pen down and scanning between the two before asking,
“What happened here?”
Yuzuki was about to explain, but Sachiko spoke first:
“He fell while running. I happened to see it and brought him here.”
Yuzuki said nothing, only casting a sidelong glance at Sachiko.
Yet her expression remained calm and steady, her eyes fixed ahead.
The nurse nodded knowingly.
“I see.”
She stood and approached Yuzuki, peering down at his wound.
“Let me see.”
Then, frowning slightly, she said,
“Are you sure you just got hurt?”
Using tweezers, the nurse gently probed the scabbed wound, thoughtfully remarking,
“This wound… healed awfully fast.”
Yuzuki’s heart tightened.
“Young people do heal quickly,” the nurse chuckled, choosing not to pry further. She expertly dipped a cotton swab in alcohol and wiped around the wound.
“Though it’s already scabbed, better disinfect it to prevent infection.”
The cool sting of alcohol followed, then she wrapped the wound with gauze.
“All done. It should fully heal in a few days. Just don’t pick at it.”
Yuzuki breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you, nurse.”
Sachiko nodded in thanks as well. “Thank you.”

“No problem, no problem,” the nurse waved her hand with a smile. “By the way, Sachiko Toyokawa, you’re quite thoughtful—bringing him here right away.”
Yuzuki glanced toward Sachiko, who replied evenly,
“That’s what classmates should do.”
Yuzuki sat quietly in the infirmary chair for a moment.
Feeling it was about time, he stood, intending to walk out on his own.
But Sachiko moved swiftly, slipping her arm under his armpit and once again half-lifting, half-supporting him.
He looked down at the way she was holding him, speechless.
He had wanted to break free.
Yet, as soon as he moved his elbow, he felt that subtle soft, springy touch again, warmth lightly emanating through his uniform.
After two seconds of silence, Yuzuki chose to give up struggling and let Sachiko lead him back to the school building.
Forget it—he wouldn’t argue with this young lady.
The two walked silently across the playground, returning to the junior high teaching building.
At the stairwell, Sachiko kept her pace steady, showing no intention of stopping, ready to help him upstairs.
“Wait,” Yuzuki called out just in time.
Sachiko paused and turned to look at his profile.
Yuzuki released her arm and said,
“It’s already been over twenty minutes since class started. Going back now, I won’t catch up with the lesson, and the teacher might be annoyed.”
“How about you take me to the guidance office to get the transfer student’s textbooks, and then I’ll return for the next class?”
Sachiko thought for a few seconds, then nodded.
“Sounds reasonable.”
She lifted him up again and headed toward the guidance office on the other side of the building.

Meanwhile, in the classroom of Junior High Year 3, Class C,
Itsuki Wakaba unusually wasn’t paying attention to the lesson.
She glanced at Yuzuki Nagumo’s empty seat, then looked toward Sachiko Toyokawa, who was also absent, her mind filled with puzzled questions.
