Chapter Twelve: The Harley Codex! The Ultra-Ancient Robot!

Roya strolled out of the castle.
He needed to find someone to guide him first.
Just as he was thinking this, a shadow enveloped him.
“Hey! Kid! That last time doesn’t count! Let’s start over!”
Roya looked up.
Wrapped in several bandages, especially his face almost entirely covered, Loki looked fierce.
Roya’s eyes flicked, then he put on a serious expression and said, “That won’t do. Even pirates have their code of honor—I can’t bully a wounded man!”
Loki was momentarily stunned.
Could it be this guy wasn’t so bad after all?
He had thought this fellow would treat people like puppets and not care if they died.
Loki patted his chest vigorously.
“Don’t underestimate me, kid! *Cough cough cough* I’m fine… *cough cough* perfectly fine… *cough cough* absolutely fine!”
Roya watched as each chest slap triggered a violent cough, yet Loki stubbornly insisted he was okay.
His wounds were still bleeding.
What a stubborn one.
Even for an ancient giant, getting stabbed in the lung must be unbearable.
“Bottom line, you just want to join the Rocks Pirates, right?”
Roya’s adorable face beamed with a smile.
“So what if I do?”
Loki’s voice softened.
“So what?”
Roya put his hands on his hips, looking proud.
“Hah, I don’t think you understand at all! Standing before you is the youngest officer of the Rocks Pirates, the seven-year-old with the highest bounty in the world, Roya, who joined the Rocks Pirates when he was five.”
“Oh!”
Loki’s mouth dropped open.
“You’re really that powerful?”
“Of course!”
Roya gave him a meaningful glance.
“Do you know why the captain rejected you?”
Loki shook his head in confusion.
Rocks said he didn’t like kids, but this guy was even younger.
“Exactly. You don’t even know why you got rejected, so how could you not be?”
Roya acted like a teacher with a student.
“Is that so?”
Loki scratched his head, feeling this kid’s words were a bit twisted.
The future cunning and treacherous Cursed Prince, who spent years among beasts, wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.
“But it’s okay,”
Roya folded his arms and spoke earnestly,
“I’ll teach you how to join the Rocks Pirates!”
“You’re serious?”
Loki was delighted.
“Of course!”

Roya jumped up and landed directly on Loki’s shoulder.
“But before that, you have to take me to see the murals of the Harei Canon.”
“Murals? You’re actually interested in something like that?”
Loki instinctively took a step forward but stopped, suspicious.
“You’re not tricking me, are you?”
“Why would I?”
Roya smiled.
“Tell me, who could deceive someone as handsome as you?”
“That’s true! Murals, huh? Let’s go!”
And so, their journey began.
Loki truly lived up to his monstrous constitution—after being stabbed repeatedly by Shamrock’s sword, he survived. A stab in the lung from Roya was nothing; blood trickled down his chest as he carried Roya, sprinting wildly through the village.
The village was called West Village, home to the warriors.
The giants of the Giant Soldier Pirates mostly came from this village; Aunt Lingling had also lived here for a year.
Loki’s reputation here was poor. Despite being the kingdom’s future heir, most giants turned their heads away when they saw him, with only a few greeting him.
Tsk, even giants have bullying.
Fortunately, the strong in this world were generally thick-skinned, so Loki didn’t care about the atmosphere.
Without looking back, he dashed forward carrying Roya.
Along the way, a small helmeted giant tried to block their path and say something but was knocked aside as Loki charged through.
Thought it was a speed bump.
Go tell Loki’s king father!
Roya glanced back at the struggling little giant.
Oh, this guy’s father must be Harald.
Helding.
Loki’s half-brother—what a stark contrast.
Soon, Loki burst out of the village, sprinting along a massive branch.
Before long, they passed through thick leaves, approaching the trunk of the treasure tree Adam.
They could already see the huge mural on the distant trunk.
It was the prophetic painting left during the Void Century.
“Whoa! This is amazing!”
Roya stood on Loki’s shoulder, approaching the mural.
Even knowing its content beforehand, seeing it in person was truly awe-inspiring.
“Is it really that extraordinary?”
Loki said indifferently, “It’s just a painting after all.”
“No, it’s not,”
Roya smiled slyly,
“It’s the fixed past—and the future I will change.”
“Huh?”
Loki was puzzled.
“The future changed by you?”
What did that mean?
The murals recorded the truth about the world.

The murals were divided into three parts, representing three worlds from ancient to present, corresponding to the three chapters of the Harei Canon passed down among the giants.
The first world: humans defied the forbidden sun. In the slaves’ wishes, the original Sun God was born—probably the one the giants worshipped. His enemies were the Earth God and the Serpent of Flame.
The middle world: the Forest God unleashed demons—perhaps the birth of Devil Fruits. The second Sun God, Joy Boy, ignited war, but someone assassinated the Sun God and took his place. The God of the Sea grew angry, possibly referring to rising sea levels.
The third world is the future, where the third Sun God brings dawn and ushers in a new era. No need to say more—that’s Luffy.
Though still riddled with enigmas—Earth God, Serpent of Flame, Forest God, Sea God, Half-Moon people, Full-Moon people—no one really knows what they mean.
But combined with the murals themselves, they reveal much information.
The first world seemed to have the most prosperous civilization, with towering buildings.
The second world had a great dragon perched atop the tree—could this dragon be Imu? Hence the Celestial Dragons call themselves Celestial Dragons.
The third world’s final opponent for Luffy is a devil wielding the sun—who could this be? Blackbeard?
Truly fascinating.
Perhaps they arrived too early; this world still holds countless mysteries.
“Since you’re interested here,”
Loki suddenly said,
“Why not check out another place?”
“Oh?”
Soon after, Loki brought Roya outside a massive building.
“Whoa!”
Roya marveled, almost forgetting this place.
Before them stood a colossal structure perfectly integrated with Adam’s branches, topped with a canopy of leaves.
The building itself was a gigantic robot. Though converted into a building, its outline was still clear.
“Supposedly a robot from three thousand years ago!”
Loki chuckled, “Super cool, right?”
“It sure is—so cool.”
Who doesn’t love giant robots?
This must be the companion of the first Sun God, right?
Come to think of it, every generation of Sun God had a mechanical partner.
Joy Boy’s Emmet, Luffy’s Franky.
“All right! I’ve shown you everything you wanted to see!”
Loki got down to business.
“You should tell me how to join the Rocks Pirates now.”
“No rush,”
Roya stretched leisurely.
“After-sales service matters, right? Take me back first.”
“You rascal!”
Loki shouted, breaking into a run.
