Chapter 46: Moving Swiftly Like the Wind! Do You Want Territory or Not?
“Fiery Breath!”
Kaido, having been sent flying by a punch, hurriedly returned to the battlefield, forcefully exhaling.
A towering pillar of fire immediately pierced through the sky, blasting a massive hole through the magma fountain.
“Anger, I see it now!”
Loya locked onto the furious blaze in the sky and unleashed his ability once more.
Above the clear blue sky, dark clouds suddenly gathered—“Ten Thousand Thunders!”
Lightning descended like a torrential downpour, but strangely, all the bolts converged on a single target.
“What!”
Abel’s dark brown skin turned pale under the illumination of the thunderstorm as he witnessed the sea of lightning converging.
A catastrophe!
Is this the boss’s power? It’s almost absurdly overwhelming.
“Whew—”
Loya took a long breath.
Whether turning the ground into a volcanic field or summoning a sea of thunder, the physical toll was enormous.
His body was constantly flipping between exhaustion and bursts of energy—it was extremely uncomfortable.
But thankfully, the results were still remarkable.
In the sky, a figure enveloped in black smoke plummeted down.
“Guhahaha!”
Kaido laughed uproariously, trembling with excitement. “Not bad, Loya! Keep this up, and we’ll finish off that old mad dog in one go!”
“Perhaps it won’t be that easy,” Loya smirked.
“Wahahahaha! This hurts like hell! You two little brats sure can fight!”
The descending black figure suddenly slowed, soaring through the air like a lightning bolt. “Now, it’s my turn!”
Kaku was in a sorry state.
His clothes had been completely burned away, his head was bald like a huge dome, and his body was covered in severe burn marks, turning him almost into a blackened figure.
Yet he was still full of life.
“You’re still alive? Do you have some kind of immortality?” Loya exclaimed.
“That’s just unfair—Haki!”
Kaido’s words about Haki being the ultimate power weren’t entirely nonsense; there was some truth to it.
Haki’s defense was essentially an invisible armor, not an absolute shield—it couldn’t fully block elemental attacks, or else all Logia users would be out of a job.
But from what Loya saw now, when Haki was strong enough, its resistance was extraordinary.
Normally, a mere mortal would have long since melted in magma.
“Keep it up, just like before, Loya!”
Kaido charged forward at once.
“Understood. Then, let the winds rise!”
Loya activated his ability again.
A tornado engulfed Kaku, who was rushing forward.
But—
“The same move won’t work on me!”
Kaku threw a punch backward without hesitation.
The air thundered with a blast like a crack of thunder. Using the recoil, Kaku shot out of the tornado like lightning and with the other hand struck Kaido, who was caught off-guard.
“Thunder Roar Eight Trigrams!”
Kaido hastily blocked, but was no match, and was instead punched straight into the magma pool below, prematurely enjoying a molten bath thirty-two years earlier than expected.
“Big Brother Kaido, you’re so unreliable!”
Loya withdrew as thunderbolts fell again.
However—
“I told you, useless!”
Kaku’s eyes glowed red.
Just like Kaido weaving through Luffy’s barrage of punches thirty-two years later, Kaku darted through the rain of thunder like a sea swallow, evading with ease.
Damn! Future sight Haki!
“Your setup is maxed out, huh?”
To break through this kind of observation Haki, you need a wider, flawless-range attack!
“Thunder Welcome!”
Dark clouds instantly rolled in, engulfing both Loya and Kaku beneath a thick black shroud.
Lightning frenzied within the clouds, indiscriminately striking everything inside.
“Wahahahaha! Fist Bone: Galaxy!”
The pitch-black clouds exploded in the next instant. White lightning ultimately couldn’t compete with the dark Haki lightning.
“This is a bit too strong!”
Are you some kind of one-punch man?
Loya had to admit, Haki masters only play the numbers game.
Strong body, fast speed, powerful fists.
That alone was enough to let them run rampant.
No way to win.
Time to retreat.
“Fire Dragon Torch!”
A fiery dragon hundreds of meters long burst from the magma, with molten lava rolling off its body, making it appear as if forged from molten rock.
“Oh?”
Kaku looked down, his gaze piercing through the dragon’s fiery shell to see the inner azure dragon, its scales blackened by the magma.
“Rising Dragon: Flame Eight Trigrams!!”
The dragon’s head darkened, wrapped in both Armament and Conqueror’s Haki, charging straight at Kaku.
“Fist Bone: Comet!!”
The iron fist fell like a comet.
Boom!!
Dark Haki radiated across the sky.
The blackened dragon’s head struggled for two seconds before shattering, and the entire fiery dragon exploded.
The azure-black dragon was once again knocked into the sea of magma.
“Big Brother Kaido!”
Loya shouted at the top of his lungs, “That’s enough! Let’s spare him this time!”
The magma exploded as Black Dragon Kaido soared into the sky, “Loya, are you letting me escape?”
Loya rolled his eyes. Enough with the act already.
“How can you call it an escape? It’s a strategic retreat!”
Loya said earnestly, “Saving you all is already our victory. Now, we’re just turning to march toward another triumph!”
“Wahahahaha! You think you still have a chance to run?”
Kaku cracked his neck, “The only place you can go is to Push City!”
“Is that so?”
Loya took a deep breath.
Dark vapors in the air swirled like a vortex, converging toward him.
“Then let me show you a very interesting move.”
The horns on Loya’s forehead almost glowed.
Rumble!
The entire island below began to quake violently.
The ground trembled, huge cracks appearing everywhere.
“Another earthquake?”
Kaku frowned. “But what good is an earthquake now?”
All survivors had already evacuated the buildings!
“No, it’s not an earthquake,”
Loya smiled innocently. “The bedrock beneath the island is collapsing. Soon, the whole island will sink beneath the sea.”
“What?”
Kaku’s face changed drastically.
There were tens of thousands of residents on this island!
“So, go help with the disaster relief, Navy hero,”
Loya said with a sly grin, “We won’t need your escort.”
Kaku instinctively clenched his fists.
But amid the continuous roaring, the island truly began to fragment and slowly sink, just as Loya had said.
Screams echoed endlessly.
“You bastard!!”
Kaku ground his teeth, “What exactly is your ability?”
Can you do even that?
“I told you,”
Loya’s smile remained unchanged, “Call me the Disaster.”
Disaster?
Kaku stared hard at Loya, then spun away with a spring.
It would take time to capture these flying devils.
But he couldn’t just stand by and watch everyone drown!
Save as many as possible!
“Oh, at least he really is a hero.”
Loya patted his chest, still visibly shaken.
No matter how much he despised the Navy, Loya had to admit a large portion of them risked their lives for civilians.
Respect.
“Damn it!”
Kaido, still dripping with magma, glared fiercely at Kaku’s retreating figure.
“All right, Big Brother Kaido, it’s time to go,”
Loya said, “Are you seriously going to stay and rescue people? I’d really admire that.”
“Hmph!”
Kaido snorted coldly, turned without a word, and flew away, ignoring Loya.
“Big Brother Kaido, wrong direction, this way,”
Loya called after him, pointing behind.
Kaido paused, silently turned around.
Thus, the brilliant rescue plan of strategist Kaido was flawlessly completed.
Still the top-tier version!
I could use this move for a lifetime!
Later, Loya sat atop the great dragon Kaido’s head, stretching out his long legs without looking back. “So, Abel, how’s the air of freedom?”
Abel stood behind Loya, gazing toward distant clouds at the edge of the sky, a faint smile appearing on his indifferent face. “Very pleasant.”
How could it not be?
You just had a great time.
You’ll have to work hard to make up for it later.
“You two little brats, get down here!”
Kaido’s annoyed voice sounded.
“Don’t be so stingy, Big Brother Kaido,”
Loya said lazily, “I came all the way from the North Sea just to save you.”
“Hmph, what did my men have to give in exchange?”
“Hahaha, they insisted on giving. It’d be rude not to accept.”
Loya grinned, then swiftly changed the subject.
“By the way, Big Brother Kaido, do you want territory?”
