Chapter Fifteen: Country Bumpkins, Haven't You Ever Seen the Power of the Moon?
“Hey, hey, wake up, brother. You’re just a soul right now, don’t get too carried away.”
Azure poured a bucket of cold water straight over Aka’s head.
“If you don’t figure out a way to fix this soon, when Xiaolan gets married and starts having kids in a few years, I’m definitely going to watch the live broadcast!”
The thought sent a chill down Azure’s spine.
“The worst part is, I share the same mind with her…”
Aka: “…”
Suddenly, Azure patted Aka on the shoulder to comfort him.
“But you don’t have to worry. I’ve observed this boy named Xiaozhi—he has extraordinary bones and is a real tough guy. Even give him twenty years, and he probably still won’t find a girlfriend.”
“Just like you.”
She added with a smirk.
Aka: “…”

After some discussion, they reached a unanimous conclusion.
Body snatching was impossible. Xiaozhi and Xiaolan were like alternate versions of themselves from another world—one can’t just choke the other to death.
Their only options were either to find an organization like Team Rocket, researchers who specialize in biochemical experiments, and ask them to help create a new body.
After all, they had even created Mewtwo, a nearly invincible Pokémon. This black technology to transfer souls into a new body might just be achievable.

Soon, dozens of Clefairy emerged from the crack in a line.
Several strong pink devils were carrying a nearly one-meter-wide meteorite—the offering for their ritual.
Azure grinned mischievously and asked,
“Hey, what if we suddenly jump out and scare them? When the Clefairy get back, will they beat up the sentinel Clefairy?”

He subtly moved a bit farther away.

On the fenced platform, the Clefairy collaborated to hoist the meteorite up.
They circled the platform, calling out, then began hopping and dancing, as if performing some ceremonial rite.

Azure smiled proudly, pulling a Poké Ball from her waist. A red light flashed, and before them appeared another pink Pokémon, but much larger and chubbier than Clefairy.
“Beep beep. Pikoxi, the Clefairy Pokémon, is a favorite food of Gastly.”
Aka’s Pokédex automatically reported.
Both of them: “…”
Azure frowned. This useless Pokédex was worse than a brick—what nonsense was that?
And why did it vibrate during missions?
…
“Go, Pikoxi, help me lure a cute Clefairy over.”
Azure whispered instructions:
“And grab two Moon Stones while you’re at it.”
“Pikoxi~”
Pikachu nodded and hopped toward the Clefairy group.
Their sudden appearance startled the Clefairy.
But they quickly recognized it as an elder and invited it to join their ritual.
Step one in the abduction: join in.
Pikoxi put on an innocent smile and began playing a game of “hot potato” with the Clefairy...

Aka suddenly spoke: “Your Pikoxi isn’t…”
“Yes, brought from that other world.”
Azure nodded, her playful expression briefly turning serious.
“Fortunately, they came with me, or I’d probably be as withdrawn as you.”
Aka was speechless but understood the feeling.
He was also grateful that his Pokémon from that world left no trace of erasure.
Compared to time travel, he preferred to believe this was the greatest gift heaven had given him.
“But is that girl really out of her mind? I’ve had Pikoxi’s Poké Ball on her waist the whole time, and she hasn’t noticed.”
Azure smacked her own head hard.
Aka fell silent.
His own round-faced Pikachu’s Poké Ball was always on Xiaozhi’s waist and remained undiscovered.
Now he had to get up every midnight to find food for his Pikachu.

A few strong Clefairy jumped to the meteorite, breaking off chunks.
In the next moment, a glow of evolution surrounded these Clefairy.
Suddenly, several Pokémon as large as Pikoxi appeared, and it looked like a fight was imminent.
“Pikoxi!?”
Azure’s Pikoxi instantly scowled, veins bulging on its pink forehead.
After spending so much time with its trainer, did they really think it was still that innocent and adorable?
Then, with a smirk, it suddenly raised its chubby paw.
A pink glow quickly formed in its palm.
With the power flowing in, the glow burst into a terrifying pink fairy energy explosion in the sky.
The power of the moon!
The special fairy-type attack overwhelmed the indigenous Clefairy and Pikoxi.

They had never seen anything like it!
Pikoxi clapped its hands in satisfaction, as if saying:
“Country bumpkins from Kanto? Never seen the moon’s power, huh?”
Step three in the abduction: muscle power is essential!
“Clefairy!”
The little Clefairy, upon seeing the pink glow, immediately made up its mind to follow Pikoxi.
It had never seen such a powerful ultimate move!
The other Clefairy could only watch enviously as the little one left with Pikoxi.
Azure’s Pikoxi broke off a large chunk of meteorite on the way out, then punched the air defiantly, finally striding away arrogantly.
…
In front of the bushes.
“Well done, Pikoxi!”
Azure rubbed Pikoxi’s pink head, clearly impressed by its sudden change of expression and the essence of its performance.
Then she turned her gaze to a nearby Clefairy.
Judging by its size, it was a newborn baby.
“How about it, Clefairy? Want to travel with me?”
“Clefairy~”
The Clefairy nodded adorably.
Without a fight, Azure easily caught it.
Then she accepted the meteorite chunk Pikoxi handed her.
Upon a closer look, it contained nearly five Moon Stones.
“Here’s a share for you. Don’t say I didn’t take care of you.”
She broke off a small piece and tossed it to Aka.
Aka: “…”
Looking at the meteorite fragment in his hand, it was nothing but a useless shell; no Moon Stones remained.
He fell into thoughtful silence.
