Page 1 of 3 "I remember that the main storyline later on never revealed the specific reason for Viscount Kane's death." Lys Kane, who had just realized he was reborn and soon to face a scripted demise, frowned as he summarized and recalled the intelligence from his past life, trying to help himself, the newly minted Viscount Kane, avoid this fatal plot point. The game "Divine Awakening" is set in the Prime World of Gaia. In the Astral Plane, the Prime World of Gaia is encircled by a starry expanse of extraplanar realms and divine domains, while beneath the vast ocean of stars, the Abyss and Hell, shrouded in darkness and blood, slowly rotate. In the Prime World of Gaia, there are six continents: Fanoor, Ethen, Kortar, Tudors, Gena, and Anora. Each continent corresponds to a different regional server in the game, and the main storyline for each server varies in the early stages. Among them, the Fanoor Continent is the primary starting area for players from the Hua Nation. In his past life, Lys's main area of activity in the early stages of "Divine Awakening" was the Kingdom of Fes on the Fanoor Continent, so he was quite familiar with the main storyline of the Fanoor Continent during the 1.0 version. The Fanoor Continent is shaped like an irregular rectangle, covering an area of hundreds of millions of square kilometers. The vast and fertile plains in the central and eastern parts of the continent are home to several major human kingdoms. The south is dominated by the vast and dense Navia Forest, where the Elven Kingdom is located. The north is an endless snowfield covered in ice year-round, home to various magical beasts and alien races. The majestic and sprawling Gano Mountains stretch across the central and western parts of the continent, and beyond the mountains lies the desolate, uninhabited expanse of yellow sands in the west. The Kingdom of Fes is established in the east of the continent. The Gedo River, originating from the Gano Mountains, flows through the entire kingdom and empties into the Pearl Sea in the east. Thus, the Kingdom of Fes possesses vast tracts of fertile land and convenient transportation, making it more powerful than its neighboring countries. October 10th each year is the Holy Sacrifice Festival in the Kingdom of Fes. This is the liveliest and most joyous time of the year, with people decorating the cities with lanterns and festoons to celebrate and enjoy the harvest earned through a year of hard work, while praying to the gods for favorable weather in the coming year. The grandest and most bustling celebration is held in Triumph Square in the royal capital, the City of Radiance. The Holy Sacrifice Festival celebration held in Triumph Square is hosted by the royal family. The king and all nobles in the City of Radiance attend, making it the most important moment of the year for the capital. Every year at the capital's festival, the King of Fes sits upon the throne on the ceremonial platform. Numerous ministers and nobles ride on horseback around the throne to show their reverence and support for the king. Meanwhile, the citizens of the capital, guarded by the royal guard, gather around the square, enjoying free wine and food while watching the ceremony. This year, just as King Morton Fes was about to light the holy torch symbolizing a bountiful harvest for the coming year, a Golden Assassin suddenly launched a surprise attack, assassinating the nobles surrounding the king. In full view of the public, several nobles had their throats slit and fell before the king and the onlooking crowd. Viscount Kane, who is now Lys Kane, was the highest-ranking among those unfortunate assassinated nobles. To minimize the negative impact of this vicious incident on the kingdom, the assassination was officially designated by the kingdom as the "Viscount Kane Assassination Case." Almost all players are warmongers and unstable factors. Lys still remembered watching the cutscene of Viscount Kane being assassinated during this main storyline. Most players, seeing the assassin publicly kill several nobles and escape unscathed from the Golden Lion Knights and the court mages, had their blood boiling, shouting excitedly, wishing they could be in his shoes. Later, in the game's class statistics, the number of players choosing the Assassin class in the Kingdom of Fes was several percentage points higher than in neighboring kingdoms, which clearly showed the impact of this event on the players. For the Kingdom of Fes, this was a severe slap in the face. For such an incident to occur during the kingdom's most important festival, with several nobles killed, was undoubtedly throwing the royal family's dignity to the ground and stomping on it. This was also one of the triggers for the Kingdom of Fes to launch a war of aggression against other countries in the 2.0 storyline. But even after the Kingdom of Fes ultimately won the war and gained countless benefits, there was never any follow-up to the "Viscount Kane Assassination Case," as if it had been forgotten by everyone in the kingdom. Even later, when the lore enthusiasts among the players researched and compiled the history of the Fes Continent, they found no clues, merely recording the incident as one of the causes of the Fanoor Continental War. "Damn it, what did Viscount Kane do wrong? Why treat him like this!" Lys Kane knocked on his head in agony, crying out for the unfortunate Viscount Kane, who was now himself. Although he had enjoyed the cutscene in his past life, it was a completely different story when he was the victim. In his past life, some players speculated that the assassination was a false flag operation by the Kingdom of Fes to find an excuse for the subsequent war, as the kingdom had long coveted the eastern Kingdom of Bertich's access to the sea. However, lacking evidence and not quite making sense logically, and with so many major events happening later, the assassination gradually faded from discussion. "There's still too little information, and with the assassination still over three months away, there's no way to figure out who wants to kill me." Page 1 of 3

Page 2 of 3 Lys murmured, pressing his right hand against his temple. In the end, it all came down to his lack of strength! If he were a Legendary Mage, why would he worry about being assassinated by a high-tier assassin? A single Legendary spell, Meteor Swarm, would send him straight to hell. So, the top priority now was to increase his own strength. Lys summoned the system panel again, carefully examining every piece of data. He was currently a Level 30 Junior Mage. He remembered that the level cap for players in version 1.0 of Divine Awakening was indeed Level 30. Most classes in Divine Awakening follow the same progression. Taking Mages as an example, levels 0 to 50 are Bronze Mages, 51 to 100 are Silver Mages, 101 to 200 are Gold Mages, and above 200 is the Legendary realm. As for whether there are higher tiers beyond that, it was unclear, since the game had not yet opened realms beyond level 200 in his past life. Ordinary levels, ordinary attributes, and his only standout feature—the title of Court Viscount—could not directly improve his combat power. In fact, Lys faintly felt that the main reason he was targeted for assassination was precisely his status as a Court Viscount. Then, what deserved his most attention was... Lys looked at the Talent section of his information panel. ----------------- [Talent: Omnipotent] [Tier: Legendary] [Effect: Your talent breaks through limitations, allowing you to learn and master feats and skills from other classes. Furthermore, the more class skills you master (excluding your primary class skills), the faster your growth rate will become (Current additional experience bonus: 0%)] ----------------- Lys frowned, his right index finger rhythmically tapping the bed beneath him as he fell into deep thought. After the initial excitement of obtaining a Legendary talent wore off, Lys also noticed some limitations of this powerful talent. Although the Omnipotent talent was indeed strong, allowing Lys to master feats and skills across classes, it also brought him a new problem. And that was skill levels! In Divine Awakening, learning and mastering a skill was not the end but merely the beginning. Only by continuously increasing skill levels could the true power of each class skill be unleashed, enhancing both skill damage and the priority of skill effects. For example, take the Rogue skill [Stealth]. If it were only Level 1 Stealth, any mid-tier or higher professional could detect the hidden user simply by intuition. Therefore, prioritizing skill level upgrades was crucial, and upgrading skill levels required consuming character experience points. For the core skills of certain classes, upgrading these skills was even more important than leveling up the character itself. Thus, if Lys learned a bunch of skills from other classes without discrimination and lacked enough experience points to pay for the upgrades, those skills would be practically useless in actual combat, serving only as materials to stack his talent. Page 2 of 3

Page 3 of 3 Even if the Omnipotent talent could provide Lys with additional experience bonuses, it likely wouldn't be enough to meet the upgrade requirements for all skills. But! Omnipotent not only allowed Lys to master skills from other classes, but also feats! Feats, simply put, are like passive buffs continuously applied to oneself, usually enhancing character attributes, special effects, resistances, and many other aspects. Compared to class skills, feats do not require level upgrades; they are more powerful but also much harder to obtain. For instance, Lys's Mage class feat [Arcane Mind] has a core effect of granting a 2x modifier to the Intelligence attribute, an effect shared by all Mage class feats. Every class has its own exclusive feats, and these different class feats essentially determine one's future path of development. If Lys guessed correctly, he could simultaneously obtain class feats from other classes! Leaving other effects aside, just gaining the attribute modifiers corresponding to those classes was already incredibly overpowered. If Lys obtained any Warrior class feat, his Strength attribute would similarly receive a 2x modifier. What kind of operation is this? Not only can I hit harder than you, but I'm also tankier than you! Lys felt he had finally found the correct way to utilize his talent. While selectively learning class skills, he should focus more of his energy on acquiring feats from various classes. And as luck would have it! Who am I, Lys? A top-tier power-leveler from the past life of Divine Awakening, plus a reborn soul! The channels and methods for obtaining powerful skills and feats for every class are all stored in my brain. Isn't this just returning to my area of expertise? So what is there to worry about? Just grind, and that's that! Page 3 of 3
