Chapter 31: A Minor Invention (Part Three)
Initially, Luca thought his "Criminal Tracking Glasses" were far inferior to Tony Stark's "E.D.I.T.H." glasses, lacking an intelligent voice system and likely being cumbersome to operate.
To his surprise, this thing was actually controlled by brainwaves!
"Dr. Agasa truly holds the core 'Conan-tech'!"
"Well, that's not quite right. It’s also possible that my 'Golden Finger' forced this 'black box' capability onto it to faithfully replicate the original version."
Taking off the glasses, Luca rubbed his brow with a headache.
He had originally thought that, aside from the miniaturized integration which was far ahead of its time, the technology of these glasses was fairly standard, and he might be able to take them apart and try to replicate them.
Now, however, Luca wouldn't dare entertain such thoughts.
After trying running, doing handstands, and shaking his head, he found he couldn't dislodge the glasses from his face, so he chose to give up.
'Forget it, as long as the thing works well.'
With this, Luca had two of Dr. Agasa's "Conan-tech gadgets" in his possession, pushing his panel progress to "2/5".
"Perhaps I should try to consciously collect three more gadgets from the Conan world?"
Although he already had the "Monkey Bomb" and the "Hexcore," which also brought his "Arcane world" progress to "2/5," there was a catch. The synthesis of the "Hexcore" was still a mystery, and he had no clear idea what kind of "core components" were needed for other Arcane gadgets, so he had set that project aside for the time being.
However, the Conan world's gadgets were different.
Whether it was the solar-powered skateboard, the detective badge, the elastic suspenders, the soccer ball belt, or the famous anesthesia wristwatch—the "core components" required for these items were largely self-evident.
Even the necessary components were just common, everyday items that wouldn't be difficult to acquire. He wouldn't even need to order them in bulk; a quick trip to a few malls or toy stores might allow him to screen and test them in large quantities.
Luca was genuinely curious to see what would happen once he reached "5/5."
But that wasn't something he could complete right now.
After experiencing the various functions of the tracking glasses a bit more, Luca didn't take them off. Instead, he continued working with Baymax to unpack the remaining packages.
Unfortunately, perhaps his luck for the day had run out, as he didn't see any other glowing items.

Looking at the chaotic mess in the living room, Luca hesitated for a moment.
"Well, I'll let the cleaners handle it tomorrow."
Checking the time, it was nearly ten o'clock. Luca stretched and stood up from the floor, preparing for his next task. But before he could even steady himself, Samira's voice echoed from a distance.
"Young Master, you haven't eaten yet... Hmm????"
Samira, who had just walked into the living room, stopped mid-sentence the moment she noticed the round, white Baymax standing beside Luca, freezing in place.
Baymax, having also detected Samira's footsteps, turned around. A soft green light emanated from its eyes as it began to scan her.
"Hello, I am Baymax. According to my scan, your body has several underlying injuries. I suggest..."
Watching Baymax begin to drone on, Luca rubbed his forehead in silence. He didn't choose to interrupt its analysis immediately, but during a pause in Baymax's report on Samira's physical condition, he explained:
"This is a medical care robot I just finished making."
"Aunt Samira, you should listen to its assessments and suggestions; it will be beneficial for your health."
She remained completely stunned, receiving the information Luca provided almost mechanically. Glancing at the mess in the living room, Samira couldn't fathom how such a highly sophisticated intelligent robot could have been assembled from the random pile of junk on the floor.
'Even for someone like me who knows nothing about technology, this is...'
Though he found Samira’s blank expression somewhat amusing, Luca didn't offer further explanations. He simply pointed at Baymax, signaling her to pay attention. He then stepped over the cluttered floor to reach Samira and took the dinner she had brought for him.
Luca sat on the carpet, eating his dinner while watching Baymax explain to a still-dazed Samira how to regulate her health. A faint smile appeared on his face.
Only after Baymax had finished its long-winded explanation did Luca chime in:
"Baymax, without my permission, do not scan other people's physical conditions at will."
"Also, you need my consent before connecting to the internet or hacking into other electronic devices."

"Understood, this instruction has been added to the data protocol." (●—●)
Seeing this round white robot responding so naturally to Luca—even its movements were fluid—Samira finally found the chance to speak, asking in amazement:
"Young Master, this... is this really something you just made?"
"Yes, just a little invention."
Having wolfed down his meal, Luca set the tableware aside and gave the answer with a straight face. It wasn't that he was trying to show off in front of people close to him; it was simply too tedious to explain, so he chose to gloss over it.
Samira first curiously poked Baymax's round, soft belly, but then her expression dimmed.
'Surely Young Master worked so hard to build this robot because he wants to treat Madam Gina, right?'
Though she thought this, Samira didn't ask. She had been present when the doctors explained Gina's condition, so she generally understood the situation. She didn't believe a robot could cure her.
'The Young Master is a genius, but electrical engineering and medicine are clearly different fields. Sigh, as long as he is happy.'
However, just as Samira was lost in thought, Luca spoke again.
"Aunt Samira, accompany me to the hospital tomorrow. I need Baymax to scan Mother's symptoms."
Samira looked at Luca in surprise, a glimmer of hope appearing in her eyes.
"Young Master, you mean!"
"Yes, Mother's illness might be treatable, but I have to confirm the symptoms first."
