Chapter 119: I Am Not Always Cold and Distant

Zhou Yili leaned in with a smile in his eyes.
“Moved?”
He had heard that Pei Ming was blocked halfway and immediately rushed over from the company, ignoring the manager yelling behind him—“Your new album drops tonight, where are you going?”
“Release it. Just use my account directly.”
Zhou Yili lazily waved his hand. “Picking Shen Jixing up after work. The temperature’s dropped; he can’t handle the cold.”
Where else could he find someone so thoughtful… like a windbreaker?
Zhou Yili slowly lowered his eyes, hoping for a reward kiss.
As he wished, Shen Jixing’s cold, pale fingers landed on his jaw and pushed away his shockingly blue-haired head. “You’re blocking the view.”
Zhou Yili: “…”
You’re such a blockhead.
Following Shen Jixing’s gaze, he saw the backs of several men walking toward the venue, looking like event security guards.
“What’s wrong?”
Shen Jixing withdrew his gaze. “Nothing. Let’s go.”
These didn’t seem to be people from Boyu’s side; hopefully, he was overthinking it.
After the navy blue sports car left,
the group stopped. If they went any further, the real security would kick them out.
They crouched by the bushes, hurriedly making calls. “Doctor, get the people blocking the road to back off.”
“Done?”
“Destroyed. We had it almost in the bag, but Zhou Yili showed up driving his limited-edition McLaren and completely blocked us. Maybe a fast car just means fast…”
The doctor’s blood pressure soared.
He glanced at Boyu, who was resting with eyes closed. “What a bunch of losers.”
Boyu didn’t lose his cool quickly, stroking the Bible on his lap. “Three days. No rush.”
The doctor nodded obediently and turned to the bodyguards with a smug tone, “Did you hear that? Three days. If you don’t get the young master back, you’re dressing in women’s clothes yourselves!”
“…”
They exchanged looks, all big and burly, deciding it was better to just capture the young master.
The doctor ended the call, turning with a flattering smile. “Sir, I’ll leave first. I’ll come back for a checkup in three days…”
“Go see him,” Boyu interrupted.
“Who?” the doctor asked.
Boyu sat in the cold moonlight, as if still feeling the warmth of that single burning tear.
Mu Si rarely cried.
He had a certain unwavering resilience. Even though he was pale and frail in the training camp, he still emerged as the top contender.

What was he afraid of today?
But no matter what, Boyu was self-reliant and would never waver in his choices for anyone.
He didn’t answer the doctor directly and pushed his wheelchair away from the windowsill.
“Bring him a cake too.”
…
“What’s this?”
Zhou Yili had just gotten out of the car when something was shoved into his hand. He looked down to see a trophy gleaming golden.
He focused and saw it was an award.
Zhou Yili leisurely strode to catch up with him. “You’ve been quiet for half a year without a new drama, and you still got an award?”
Shen Jixing didn’t quite agree with that.
He glanced at the trophy. “So what? They can’t beat me.”
His tone lacked pride; he was always straightforward.
Zhou Yili was amused and reached out to pinch his cold, delicate face, but ended up pinching air.
“Oh, anticipatory move!”
Shen Jixing easily tilted his head away. “Stop pinching me all the time.”
He didn’t understand Zhou Yili’s weird habit of pinching faces.
Zhou Yili casually trapped his chin with his thumb and forefinger, bringing his thin, snowy face close, pinching the few soft spots on it.
“Just pinching you.” The little lion was mischievous.
“…”
Childish.
Shen Jixing fluttered his eyelashes twice and took the lead to walk into the apartment.
Behind him came Zhou Yili’s relaxed, lazy voice.
“You’re always so cold, I want you to be more lively.”
Zhou Yili held the trophy at the entrance, scanning for the perfect spot until he picked the most conspicuous place. “Alright…”
He felt someone come close from behind.
Shen Jixing lightly stepped on his toes, passed over his shoulder from behind, and left a gentle kiss on the tattoo of the cosmos.
“I’m not always cold.”
He said this casually, then nonchalantly stepped away to wash his hands, preparing to eat.
Zhou Yili: “…”
Zhou Yili’s ears tingled.
Did this person understand or not? Usually distant as ice, but when he acted, it was a big move. Who would dare to kiss a tattoo? He’s deliberately teasing me!

Zhou Yili marched boldly into the bathroom.
“Fine, I’m doing it as you wished!”
He saw Shen Jixing wash his hands, lightly rubbing his stomach, and immediately rushed over anxiously. “What’s wrong? You feeling unwell?”
Shen Jixing nearly jumped in surprise.
Meeting those proud, disdainful eyes filled with tension and worry, he slowly said, “No, I’m hungry.”
Zhou Yili relaxed a bit.
He wrapped an arm around that waist still narrower than his palm. “Let’s eat.”
Midway through the meal, Shen Jixing found out that Zhou Yili’s new album had been released today and was already dominating the entire music scene.
“You released it today? Why didn’t you tell me?”
No wonder Zhou Yili had been running around all day, Shen Jixing thought.
Zhou Yili casually peeled a shrimp for him, voice lazy. “I told you I’d see you today, otherwise, you’d have kicked me out eight hundred times.”
Shen Jixing watched him quietly for a moment.
Zhou Yili seemed like he wanted to press his head down but hesitated, afraid of dirtying his hands. “Stop staring, eat your food.”
When the meal was almost done, Shen Jixing got up and went upstairs.
Zhou Yili tidied up and went to shower, thinking he had nothing to do these days and could find time to tease Shen Jixing after he rested.
Suddenly, the bathroom door was pushed open.
Amidst the steam, Zhou Yili turned his head. “?”
Shen Jixing paused, his gaze sweeping over him. “I thought you were washing your hands. I’ll wait and…”
“What’s that?”
“A gift for you.”
Shen Jixing casually opened the box to reveal a black starry-patterned tie.
“I originally planned to give it after your album release but missed the timing.”
Zhou Yili said, “You didn’t miss it.”
Shen Jixing saw his eyes fix on the tie without blinking for a moment, then slowly stepped back. “Looks like you like it. Try it on after your shower.”
Just as he was about to turn away, his pale wrist was lightly grabbed by a wet hand, pulling him inside without a word.
Shen Jixing hurriedly said, “The tie can’t get wet.”
The bathroom door opened again, and the tie Zhou Yili seemed to like was tossed out, lying alone on the carpet.
“You did it on purpose.” Zhou Yili whispered against his earlobe, “You did it on purpose… didn’t you?”
