Chapter 150 Extra: Mu Si × Bo Yu 5
It is not easy for Bo Yu to be independent, especially now that he is still recovering from his illness; every movement sends a wave of physiological ache through his body.
"..."
Ten minutes later, Mu Si knocked on the door. "Are you done?"
There was no answer from inside the room for a long while. Frowning slightly, Mu Si pushed the door open directly, only to be met with Bo Yu’s cold, reddened eyes. The noble and elegant man was sitting on the toilet, his trousers loose at the waist, revealing a glimpse of a graceful midriff—it was clear he had tried, but failed.
"Who told you to come in? Get out!!!"
Though disheveled, Bo Yu’s presence remained formidable. Even as his entire body throbbed with a dull red ache, and his amber eyes shimmered with a wet, crimson light, he glared at Mu Si as if he would kill him if he could.
"And then?" Mu Si’s mouth continued its steady stream of provocations. "Should I stay here tonight to wash your pants for you?"
"..." Bo Yu was practically livid. "You bastard..."
Mu Si caught his hand as he swung it, guiding it to the metal zipper and pulling it down gently. "Like this."
Bo Yu thought coldly, did he think he didn't know how to do that? It was not that he lacked the ability; his legs were heavy and numb, and every inch of movement drenched him in cold sweat.
Mu Si then held him by the waist with one hand, lifted him up, and, as if teaching a child, guided his hand to finish removing the trousers.
"See? That wasn't so hard."
"..."
Mu Si did not force him, but instead led him through the motions, letting him do it himself. For once, Bo Yu remained silent.
"Wash your hands." After dressing him neatly, Mu Si carried him to the sink.
Bo Yu washed his hands several times with a cold expression. "You cannot change my mind. Tomorrow, I will still tear you limb from limb."
Mu Si lowered his eyes to look at him, his delicate features seemingly touched by a smile. "Sir, at least choose your moments when making threats."
He placed Bo Yu on the vanity and pulled out a tissue to dry his hands, his lowered gaze calm and languid. "The more you act like this, the less likely I am to let you go."
Bo Yu: "???"
"Let's go." Mu Si picked him up again and walked out. "Time to eat."
Bo Yu’s nerves tensed and throbbed. "What do you mean? Just how long do you intend to keep me trapped here?"
No one had ever dared to disregard his status and act so wantonly. Even back when he was kidnapped for revenge, those people had not dared to take his life so casually, yet the cost of losing his legs was too painful to bear. Sometimes, he even thought it would be better not to be alive.
Mu Si sat lazily on the sofa, hesitated for a moment, then placed Bo Yu on his lap. He spoke without thinking, "I'll let you go once I've had my fill."
The consequence of not being able to hold his tongue was immediate. In a fit of rage, Bo Yu flipped the dinner onto him. "I have never seen someone as base and vile as you!"
Bo Yu had lived in a high position for too long, surrounded by people who treated him with extreme reverence; he could not tolerate such provocation and insult. Cream soup covered Mu Si’s clothes. He glanced down at his own mess, remained silent with his eyes lowered for several seconds, and then opened another portion of his own dinner.
"This one is a bit simpler, but make do with it for now."
Raised with impeccable etiquette, Bo Yu felt the urge to curse for the first time. "I'll eat your—"
As he reached out to destroy the meal, Mu Si grabbed his wrists and hoisted him up, striding away from the table.
"Fine, then nobody eat, damn it."
"..."
Mu Si had suddenly blurted out a profanity. It was Bo Yu’s turn to be stunned. "..."
He met the gaze of the handsome young man beneath the black hair. His amber eyes contracted slightly, and his heart raced uncontrollably in the face of danger. "What are you trying to do now?"
Mu Si did not answer, stripping off his soiled jacket with one hand. He tossed Bo Yu onto the small bed. Bo Yu was dazed for a few seconds, lying there like a little turtle unable to flip itself over. Then, a thermometer was pressed behind his ear.
Mu Si repeated in a low voice, "37.2 degrees."
Slightly warm, but within the normal range. He then pressed his forehead gently against Bo Yu’s, the skin no longer as burning hot as it had been in the morning. "That’s acceptable."
"Acceptable what—"
Before Bo Yu could finish, the back of his neck was pressed into the pillow, his breath filled with the faint, sweet scent of mousse cake.
...
...
Mu Si got up in the small hours of the morning to heat up a meal, but there was only one portion. The other expensive one had been flipped by Bo Yu on the spot, but Mu Si hadn't been overly angry; he had grown accustomed to Bo Yu’s habit of tearing the place apart whenever he was unhappy.
"Open your mouth, eat a little."
Bo Yu opened his wet, cold eyes to look at him. This young man seemed to have two personalities: usually fierce and menacing, but gentle again once it was over.
Bo Yu coldly turned his head away. "I want to take a shower."
Mu Si picked out some beef and vegetables from the container to feed him. "No shower for now, or you’ll fall ill again."
Mu Si knew he was an extreme perfectionist with a penchant for cleanliness, but his place was too primitive. The water wasn't particularly hot, and the exertion would be too much for Bo Yu’s body.
Bo Yu rarely fell ill, and he didn't seem to want to experience the feeling of being feverish and dizzy, so he remained silent and allowed himself to be fed.
"Not eating anymore?" Mu Si asked, squatting by the bed.
Bo Yu retreated back into his turtle shell. Mu Si felt a flicker of tenderness in his heart and wanted to reach out to stroke his head, but fearing he would spark another fit of temper, he pulled his hand back and went to the dining table, eating the leftovers from Bo Yu’s meal.
This little house belonged to an elderly neighbor. Mu Si cleaned up the mess from the first meal and took their clothes to the bathroom. Hot water was limited, so he saved it for Bo Yu’s morning wash. He washed the clothes in cold water himself, and checking the time, realized it was already four in the morning.
Mu Si leaned by the window to warm his hands, watching the moon outside, and smiled silently. "I actually find myself thinking that it’s not so bad like this."
But Bo Yu could never be willing. He hated him to the core.
Mu Si lowered his eyes and returned to the bed, pulling the man into his arms to sleep. Suddenly, he felt a small, damp patch on the pillow. It wasn't from the earlier stimulation. It was after the meal.
Bo Yu had been crying while curled up in his little turtle shell. Perhaps he didn't know how long these days would last, or why the child he had once saved was now taking revenge on him, making him live in such a humble, undignified way, which left him feeling powerless and sad.
Mu Si’s eyelashes fluttered, and he asked softly, "Are you asleep, sir?"
"..."
Bo Yu did not speak. Mu Si knew he was awake and lowered his head, pressing it against the back of his ear. "Actually, it’s only been three days."
"You locked me in the attic against my will back then, so I also wanted to..."
He had hardened his heart, wanting to indulge himself just once. It was Bo Yu who had appeared before him voluntarily after he had finally made up his mind to stay away for good.
"Tomorrow is the last day."
Mu Si held him in his arms, as if using his last bit of strength to seal away his burning love once more. "I won't bully you anymore tomorrow."
"Tomorrow, I will take you out, and then I will set you free."
