Chapter 158: Can you kiss me?
Only the sound of each other's breathing remained in the room.
Song Qingyou's slender, delicate fingertips gently poked Fu Wenzhou's forehead. "Stop talking nonsense."
Fu Wenzhou opened his eyes, his dark pupils reflecting Song Qingyou's slender figure. His gaze was focused and obsessive. "I am very serious."
Song Qingyou paused for a couple of seconds, then the corners of her lips slowly curved upward. "Well, I know."
Fu Wenzhou said in a low voice, "I heard the nights in Country Y are very beautiful, Youyou. I want to watch the stars with you."
Song Qingyou had a video conference scheduled for the evening, but after a moment's thought, pushing it to tomorrow wasn't impossible. Without hesitating for long, she said, "Alright."
Fu Wenzhou's mood instantly brightened, and he sat there obediently waiting for Song Qingyou to cut his hair.
Song Qingyou had never cut anyone's hair before; the only grooming experience she had was trimming the fur of the Samoyed owned by Yan Miao.
Still, cutting hair was just cutting hair, so there shouldn't be much difference between a human and a little dog, right?
Song Qingyou felt a little nervous. "Don't move around."
Fu Wenzhou replied, "I'm not moving."
"Oh," Song Qingyou said, "Just don't move randomly anyway."
Fu Wenzhou: "..."
A trace of a smile touched his eyes and brows. He tilted his head slightly, bringing his thin lips close to her ear. "Youyou, don't be nervous."
Song Qingyou glared at him. "What is there for me to be nervous about? If it gets butchered, you'll be the ugly one, not me."
The corners of Fu Wenzhou's lips curled upward, his crisp tone tinged with a hint of gentleness. "Right, you're not nervous."
Clearly, her hands were trembling.
No matter how Fu Wenzhou looked at it, he found his Youyou incredibly adorable.
And the thought that this side of her could only be seen by him sent a wave of pleasure and satisfaction surging through his heart.
Song Qingyou cut his hair very carefully, thinking it was too even, so she tried to thin it out, imitating the haircutting videos she had seen online by cutting vertically.
As a result, she applied too much force and ended up cutting a jagged chunk right out of it.
Song Qingyou's mouth twitched, and her stubborn streak flared up. She refused to believe she couldn't get a simple fringe right.
She tried to fix it along that gap, but as she trimmed, it kept getting shorter and shorter. Seeing that any further cutting would make it vanish entirely, Song Qingyou finally stopped her hand and said with annoyance, "It's so ugly."
Fu Wenzhou didn't mind in the least. He took the mirror Song Qingyou handed him and glanced at it a few times. "It's not bad. What's ugly about it?"
Song Qingyou felt that his love for her was somewhat blind.
Fu Wenzhou casually ruffled the loose strands and said sincerely, "It's really not ugly, Youyou. I think it looks quite nice. One look and you can tell it's the work of a master—super design-oriented and completely one-of-a-kind. You won't run into anyone else with this hairstyle when you go out."
Song Qingyou was so sweet-talked by him that she even began to doubt her own aesthetic judgment. "Really?"
Fu Wenzhou affirmed, "Of course it's real. Would I lie to you?"
His tone was so utterly sincere that Song Qingyou's gloomy mood vanished completely, and a smile bloomed in her eyes. "Even though it looked pretty ugly at first glance, the more you look at it, the better it gets."
Since childhood, Song Qingyou rarely failed at anything. She started learning musical instruments, chess, calligraphy, and painting at age three, and her grades were always first in her grade. Later, blessed with extraordinary talent in medicine, she became her teacher's most prized student. In a sense, she was the epitome of the "child of someone else's family."
Therefore, the fact that she had just ruined Fu Wenzhou's hair actually dealt quite a blow to her sense of pride.
Yet Fu Wenzhou said it looked great.
Song Qingyou trusted Fu Wenzhou's taste.
Striking while the iron was hot, Fu Wenzhou asked, "Sister, can I make a request?"
"What is it?" Song Qingyou felt that the little dog had been quite well-behaved today; as long as it wasn't too outrageous, she could grant it.
Fu Wenzhou hugged Song Qingyou, anticipation shining in his eyes. "Can you kiss me?"
Song Qingyou lifted her eyelids slightly. He was too tall; she had to tilt her head up just to see the man's jawline. "Bend down."
Fu Wenzhou obediently lowered his waist, putting himself at eye level with Song Qingyou.
His lips were vividly colored, though there was a slight abrasion on them, with a scab forming over the broken skin, inexplicably adding a touch of sexiness.
Song Qingyou's index finger gently brushed against the scabbed corner of his lips, a pang of heartache spilling into her eyes. She slowly leaned in and pressed a light kiss on the scabbed spot.
The tip of her tongue brushed lightly over the wound, and Fu Wenzhou's breathing instantly grew heavy.
He forced himself to endure, waiting for Song Qingyou to take the initiative.
This was the purest of kisses.
Song Qingyou slowly lifted her gaze, stood on tiptoe, and a flurry of delicate, dense kisses fell once more, lingering on Fu Wenzhou's eyelashes before slowly traveling downward.
Tenderness swirled in the depths of Fu Wenzhou's eyes. He gazed at her deeply, handing complete control over to Song Qingyou.
He liked and relished Song Qingyou taking the initiative.
Song Qingyou cupped his face in both hands and kissed the man's lips over and over again, completely rule-less yet excruciatingly provocative.
Fu Wenzhou muttered a dark curse under his breath; he was reaching the limit of his endurance.
Song Qingyou's eyes were misty with moisture, bewitching and alluring. Her index finger lifted the man's chin, tracing slowly downward until it stopped right at his Adam's apple.
Just as Fu Wenzhou was restlessly and impatiently waiting for her next move—
A flash of mischief crossed Song Qingyou's eyes, and a faint smile curved the corners of her lips. "It's over."
With that, she slowly pulled back and said in a breezy tone, "You've been satisfied."
The fire burning in Fu Wenzhou's chest was left hanging midway; his entire body was being teased to the verge of explosion, and yet she casually dropped an "it's over."
Truly, he had lifted a rock only to drop it on his own feet.
In the end, the only one suffering was him.
Fu Wenzhou narrowed his eyes slightly, stared at Song Qingyou for a few seconds, then yanked her straight into his embrace. Giving her no chance to struggle, his thin lips pressed down upon hers.
Fierce and audacious, his actions rapidly grew more excessive.
She was his woman; he would kiss her whenever he pleased.
It wasn't until Song Qingyou was nearly suffocating that Fu Wenzhou finally deigned to release her, contentedly admiring his own "masterpiece."
Song Qingyou's lips were red, swollen, and vividly tempting, as if they had just been plucked.
Clearly, she had been bullied quite severely.
Panting softly, she glared at Fu Wenzhou. "In the future, you're not allowed to—mph!"
Song Qingyou's lips parted slightly, and she was invaded once more, the rest of her words swallowed away.
This time, Fu Wenzhou was remarkably patient. By the end, Song Qingyou's hands had unconsciously wrapped around Fu Wenzhou's neck...
Her body turned weak from his kisses, and Fu Wenzhou supported her with his right hand to keep her from sliding down.
The man's voice was low and hoarse, his dark eyes brimming with a scorching brilliance. "Youyou's mouth is so soft. It feels amazing to kiss."
Song Qingyou's face flushed completely crimson. She couldn't understand why he could utter such heart-fluttering, blush-inducing sweet nothingnesses without the slightest trace of shyness.
Seeing her shy and bashful appearance made Fu Wenzhou's heart itch, and he wanted to kiss her again.
The mere thought that Youyou's alluring expression belonged to him alone brought a twisted, immensely satisfying sense of fulfillment to his heart.
Startled by the intense possessiveness in his eyes, Song Qingyou reached out to push him away. "No more kissing. If you keep going, they'll swell up."
Fu Wenzhou's thumb lingered over her reddened lips, his voice low and raspy. "They're already swollen. What should we do?"
Song Qingyou slapped away his misbehaving hand, pulling back with a flushed face. "Anyway, no more kissing allowed."
Acting like a sated beast—having eaten and drunk his fill—Fu Wenzhou agreed readily enough. "Alright."
Song Qingyou let out a silent sigh of relief. Just then, a knock sounded at the door.
Song Qingyou glanced at the smart band on her wrist. It was time for Fu Wenzhou's dressing change; it was probably Yun Nian.
"Come in."
Yun Nian pushed the door open, her eyes instantly landing on Fu Wenzhou. Her eyeballs nearly popped out of their sockets in pure shock. "Fu Wenzhou, was your hair chewed on by a dog?!"
