Isn't this supposed to be a processing plant? Postpartum care for sows?

Sharing the same confusion was the female among the group of four.

Frowning, the woman held up her employee badge and asked the pig-headed creature who was handing out their supplies, "What is postpartum care for sows? Isn't this a processing plant?"

"Postpartum care for sows?" Hearing her words, the remaining three men quickly picked up their badges to take a look, then let out a sigh of relief. "No, isn't this for assembly line workers in the processing plant?"

They glanced at the woman's badge and chuckled with schadenfreude, "Yours is different from ours."

The pig-headed manager interrupted their pointless chatter. "This is a processing plant, but we aren't just a processing plant. We also have our own breeding farms."

He swept a hand to encompass Su Man and the woman. "Both of you are going to the breeding farm."

Then he pointed at the remaining three men. "You lot go to the production line."

With the assignments settled, the manager summoned five pig-headed individuals dressed in red work uniforms to guide Su Man and the others through the procedures and help them familiarize themselves with their tasks.

The pig-headed creature assigned to lead Su Man spoke up on his own accord, "You can call me Uncle Li. Follow me. The location is a bit far, and I have things to do, so I won't be able to stay with you for too long."

Su Man took a few steps following him, then noticed from the corner of her eye that the woman was heading in a completely different direction. Unable to help herself, she asked, "Weren't we both assigned to the breeding farm? Why is she going that way?"

Uncle Li glanced at the path that diverged completely from theirs and made no attempt to hide it. "There isn't just one breeding farm. You're going to Farm Number One, and she's going to Farm Number Two. The locations are different."

Not just them—even though all three men were told they were going to the assembly line, there were lines one, two, and three, and none of them were in the same place.

Whether intentional or not, all of them had been dispersed.

On the way to the breeding farm, Uncle Li filled Su Man in on her assignment.

"The breeding farm you're going to has a slight problem. For some reason, the sows refuse to eat. Our preliminary suspicion is that something might have gotten in there and startled them."

Uncle Li continued, "That thing is hiding quite well. We took the time to inspect the place, but we couldn't find a trace of it. We're all very busy and don't have the time to linger there indefinitely. So your primary task is to find out if you can locate that thing and resolve the sows' feeding issue."

Uncle Li held up two fingers. "Don't say Uncle is bullying you. I'll give you two days. If you still can't find the problem after two days, get lost. Our factory doesn't keep idlers."

Finally, they arrived at the breeding farm. The moment they stepped through the door, an overwhelmingly pungent stench hit them.

Su Man, however, showed no reaction. Her first thought went to the Royal Power players who had arrived with her. She imagined how high and mighty those people usually acted, with their untouchable airs, and wondered how they would react if they faced this scene.

Meanwhile, at the other breeding farm.

Lu Qian caught a whiff of the stench and tried desperately to hold back, but failing completely, she pinched her nose tightly.

"So delicate. You've come all the way here to work, yet you're picky about this and that." The leading pig-headed creature dropped his score of her instantly upon seeing this action. He picked up a pig-feeding bucket from beside his feet and shoved it into her arms. "Your first task is to feed the pigs, and after you're done, clean up their manure."

"Isn't everything industrialized nowadays?" Lu Qian watched him as he made to leave and hurriedly asked, "Do I really have to feed them one by one?"

There had to be at least ten pigs in there—how long was she expected to work?

Besides, she was wearing such nice clothes; wouldn't feeding pigs completely ruin them?

"There are only a little over a dozen pigs, what need is there for industrialization? Feed them because you're told to. If your work isn't up to standard by the end, pack your things and get lost.

Over at Farm Number One, they have more than fifty pigs and no industrialization either. What are you dreaming about?"

Back on Su Man's side, where there were over fifty pigs.

Uncle Li had already left, but before departing, he assigned a group leader to keep an eye on her.

The group leader was also a pig-headed creature—round-faced with big ears, his small eyes narrowed in a way that looked quite menacing.

"Since you've come to my section, you're my subordinate. You'll do whatever I tell you to do!"

দ্বিতীয়0 "But Uncle Li said my task..."

"Never mind what Uncle Li said. Here, you answer to me."

He kicked a pig-feeding bucket toward Su Man. "Feed the pigs first."

Su Man lowered her gaze and didn't move. After pondering for two seconds, she produced five Terror Coins and handed them to the group leader. "Could I ask you to feed them for me? I need to complete Uncle Li's task first."

The group leader gave her an astonished look, glanced left and right to ensure no one was watching, and took the Terror Coins. Confirming they were real, his face immediately split into a beaming smile. "Oh, you child. If you had such good things, why didn't you bring them out sooner?"

"Just call me Brother Zhu. This task, Brother Zhu will take care of it for you." Brother Zhu pocketed the money, turned around, and summoned a disheveled pig-headed creature. Judging by the clothing, it was a female.

It wasn't that Su Man only wanted to call these people pig heads, but in her eyes, these creatures genuinely looked identical. If not for their different outfits, she truly wouldn't have been able to tell them apart.

Group leader Brother Zhu showed no politeness whatsoever to the female pig-headed creature. He kicked the feeding bucket and spoke in a harsh tone, "What are you standing around for? Go feed them!"

The female pig-headed creature shrank back timidly. "Brother Zhu, the pigs still won't eat right now. Feeding them will just waste the food..."

"Shut up! Feed them when you're told, why so much nonsense? Are you asking for another beating?" While speaking, Brother Zhu drew a leather belt and lashed it fiercely across the female pig-headed creature's body.

Just the sound made Su Man wince, but the female pig-headed creature acted as though she felt nothing at all, silently enduring the blows. Finally, after Brother Zhu grew tired and stopped, she limped away, dragging the feeding bucket deeper into the enclosure.

Brother Zhu spat disdainfully. "Such a cheap spawn, asking for a beating."

Su Man watched the limping figure retreat, then casually asked, "Is she an employee here too?"

Brother Zhu paused, then gave an evasive grunt. "Yeah, she's an employee. When you have free time, don't talk to her."

He actively changed the subject. "Let's not talk about her, bad luck."

Looking back at Su Man, a leering smile crept into his eyes. "Little Su..."

"You've got a really good brain on you. Brother likes your kind."

He rubbed his fingers together. "If there are more of these, Brother will like you even more. Brother can make you the second-in-command around here."

"If I get more in the future, I'll continue to show my filial respect to you, Brother." Su Man replied with smooth flattery, playing dumb.

Brother Zhu clicked his tongue, though he didn't say anything more, his attitude noticeably cooling. "Alright, let's leave it at that for now."

He took two steps away, then abruptly turned back. "Oh right, that woman from this morning fed the pigs for you, but you'll have to feed them yourself this afternoon."
