Chapter Twenty: Using One's Body to Block a Bullet!

Jiang Taichu looked at his little boy, Gu Jun, with a complicated expression, tempted to ask whether he belonged to Gu Shengyun or Gu Shengshan. But then he reconsidered—this was a matter of morality, not legality. His elder brother was gone, and his sister-in-law... Ah, damn! Scum!
“Aunt, you wouldn’t want this matter to be spread around, would you?” Jiang Taichu said quietly.
Zhang Xin’s face darkened, and she picked up Gu Jun. “Upstairs.”
Jiang Taichu followed her back into the house. She handed Gu Jun a Skyward Mech figurine, sending him to play in his room.
“My relationship with Shengshan, I admit, was unfair to Shengyun. But he left us—mother and son—behind. How was I supposed to live?”
Resentment clouded her face, and tears glittered in her eyes.
“I don’t want to hear your story,” Jiang Taichu replied coolly. “Has Jiang Yaoxing been here?”
Zhang Xin’s expression returned to normal, and her tears vanished. “He came. Asked if Shengyun left anything behind, or if we received any packages.”
“And then?” Jiang Taichu pressed.
“We didn’t receive anything, so he left.” Zhang Xin glanced at him. “Don’t you know? Didn’t your uncle tell you?”
“I just found out,” Jiang Taichu replied. “He hid something in the Planetary Graveyard, so I came to ask what it was.”
“Planetary Graveyard?” Zhang Xin was taken aback. “What did he hide? Does it relate to my late husband?”
“I have no idea. I have other matters, so I’ll take my leave.”
Jiang Taichu didn’t linger. As he reached the door, he paused and asked curiously, “Aunt, when you’re holding Uncle Shengshan, do you ever think of Uncle Shengyun?”
“You little bastard...” Zhang Xin’s face flushed with anger, but Jiang Taichu was already gone.
Zhang Xin’s muddled affairs were soon forgotten by Jiang Taichu.
He didn’t return home but went to the cultivation hall instead.
Cultivation halls could be found all over Blue Star; anyone could use them for a fee, with prices varying depending on the array spirits installed.
Emerald Spirit Cultivation Hall was a local chain in Jiangcheng. Three hundred a day, with beds for overnight stays.
Jiang Taichu booked three days and settled in, preparing to study the details of the Planetary Graveyard.
The graveyard was divided into Killing Array zones and Treasure Hunting zones.
The Treasure Hunting zone was for those who hid treasures there. Even so, he wouldn’t go; it wasn’t part of the skill domain of Viewing Mountains.
Like lottery tickets in his previous life—even if reborn, he couldn’t win.

That zone wouldn’t allow him to act freely, nor bring weapons, so he could only choose the Killing Array zones. The lowest-level array zones had already been explored, with little danger remaining.
There were also some large Killing Array zones—entering them as a Qi Refining practitioner was certain death, and information on them was scarce.
He eventually set his sights on a terrestrial star, which had a unique region—Nine-Ring Mountain!
Legend said this terrestrial star, once named Taifeng, served as a planetary fortress for Blue Star. It was destroyed during a counter-invasion war.
The killing arrays atop it were chaotic and troublesome to handle, the battle draining the fortress’s power to near exhaustion.
Attempts to repair it failed; after investing some resources, it was found that restoring it to its peak was less cost-effective than building a new fortress. So it was abandoned.
Nine-Ring Mountain was a killing array—nine mountains encircling a core, rumored to house nine fully automatic magical devices, arranged according to the earth veins of the peaks, forming part of the fortress’s killing array.
Now, the array was damaged; most of the nine devices were broken. If the array wasn’t triggered, there was no danger.
But if the array was activated, even Qi Refining practitioners could be wiped out!
His Viewing Mountain skill allowed him to see the earth veins within the mountains, giving him an edge.
If the information was accurate, even if a Qi Refining practitioner was drawn in, it wasn’t impossible to kill them.
Of course, the odds of a Qi Refining practitioner appearing were slim—they were true cultivators, with considerable status.
Meanwhile—
As soon as Jiang Taichu left, Zhang Xin contacted Jiang Yaoxing: “Did Shengyun leave something behind that you hid?”
Faced with her blunt questioning, Jiang Yaoxing was baffled. “What did I hide?”
“Are you still pretending? Jiang Taichu already told me you hid something in the Planetary Graveyard.” Zhang Xin said coldly, “If you don’t hand it over, forget about getting work from the Earth Company!”
“Jiang Taichu? Isn’t he at work?” Jiang Yaoxing’s eyelid twitched—could there really be something?
“How should I know?” Zhang Xin snorted. “I warn you, don’t try to steal our things!”
“That kid’s tricking you.” Jiang Yaoxing narrowed his eyes. “Is Shengshan home?”
“He’s at work,” Zhang Xin replied.
Jiang Yaoxing calmed down. “Go find him. What he’s looking for is likely in the Planetary Graveyard.”
After hanging up, he began contacting Jiang Hai’s colleagues.
None dared hide anything from him; they all revealed Jiang Taichu’s visit.
Instructions? Items?
“Why say I hid something in the Planetary Graveyard? Does he know I received instructions?” Jiang Yaoxing frowned.
As he pondered, his wristwatch vibrated, and a voice sounded in his mind: “Your matter has been exposed. The compensation account has been switched to Jiang Taichu, with Yang Xuanzhi’s help.”
“Damn, what’s wrong with letting Uncle keep it?” Jiang Yaoxing’s face darkened, fury boiling inside—ten thousand just for lying down, now gone!
Enraged, he blurted, “Jiang Taichu went to Jiang Hai’s colleagues, saying the item was hidden in the Planetary Graveyard.”
“You’re sure?” the voice grew heavier.

“That’s what he said, almost certainly,” Jiang Yaoxing gritted his teeth.
“Good. Bring the item back to me and I’ll pay you three million.”
“But… That’s the Planetary Graveyard…” Jiang Yaoxing hesitated.
“I’ll arrange for someone to go with you.”
“Rest assured, I’ll find the item and deliver it to you.”
After hanging up, Jiang Yaoxing thought for a moment and decided to seek out Jiang Taichu, to probe him first.
But when he reached Jiang Taichu’s house, he knocked for ages with no response.
“Is the kid off in another district, visiting his father’s colleagues’ families?” Jiang Yaoxing frowned.
Unable to find Jiang Taichu, he left for now.
…
Three days later, in the training space of Emerald Spirit Cultivation Hall.
Flesh and blood fists clashed with the mech, winds raging, blood and energy surging—a terrifying force burst forth from his body.
With the blessing of the True Lord of Pure Source and Wondrous Dao, in just three days he had reached the internal training stage, vastly strengthening his power and defense.
The mech sparring with him had energy up to 25%!
His internal training index was 79.3%, and the energy he could command had reached 40%!
His own defense finally met his expectations.
His body could withstand bullets!
Of course, only from semi-automatic rifles. The armor-piercing rounds of sniper rifles required the Yin-Yang realm.
As for mechs, fists alone couldn’t injure him.
Of course, particle cannons and spirit cannons—those two ultimate weapons—even the Yin-Yang realm couldn’t withstand them.
His bullet-dodging ability had improved to four meters, and for spirit cannons, he could dodge them from fifteen meters away.
“It’s time to head to the Planetary Graveyard. Jiang Yaoxing must be desperate by now,” Jiang Taichu murmured.
In two days, he’d have to work overtime, assisting Yang Xuanzhi, and he didn’t want to delay until next month.
Taking a spirit-powered vehicle to the entrance of the Planetary Graveyard, he arrived at a star palace built by various forces, projected across the stars by the Southern Gate.
Inside the towering palace, many people came and went; several instinctively watched him, their wristwatches vibrating, sending messages.
