Chapter Thirty-Three: The Cave
Winter River Town, Baiyang Street.
Inside a lavish secret chamber stood two rows of men clad in black, their expressions cold and indifferent. They surrounded a group of young people, all dressed in tattered clothes, their faces sallow and gaunt.
It was clear that those encircled had suffered from long-term malnutrition. Their expressions varied—some were desperate, some terrified, some fearful, and some even excited.

"No noise, no unnecessary movement!"
The black-clad guards maintained strict order. No one dared to move, and in silence, they stood before a golden statue.
Before them, the golden statue was exquisitely crafted. Its visage was veiled, features obscured, hands clasped together at its chest, head bowed in solemn reverence.
In front of the statue lay dozens of offering tables, each bearing an assortment of items.
