This person was none other than the fiery girl who had once been hired to guide him through Wind, Forest, Fire, and Mountain.

She still wore the same camouflage short-sleeved shirt and hot pants, but now her equipment was far superior—armed with an M16 rifle, her movements more agile and nimble than before.

Wu Hua hesitated not for a moment; decisively, he held back his finger from pulling the trigger. He could not shoot this shot.

Had it not been for that contract the fiery girl gave him back then, Wu Hua might still be begging on the service platform of Dream Star City today.

As a sniper, he should be ruthless toward the enemy. Yet, snipers are human too, each with their own code. Wu Hua’s code was simple: repay both enmity and kindness in kind. He could never aim a lethal shot at the fiery girl—that was his way of repaying her. He sought no recognition from her, only peace of conscience for himself.

“Fiery girl, back off, don’t come any closer,” Wu Hua cursed silently. “One more step and it’ll cost you your life.”

Whether it was his curse or a prayer, the fiery girl rolled down a dirt embankment and disappeared from sight. Wu Hua’s eagle-eyed sniper scope remained fixed on that spot. He was certain that if she dared reappear, no matter how agile, one shot from him would shatter her into pieces.

Below, the stairs had fallen silent; the ultimate skill of 186o had taken out most of the people. He was somewhat weary and turned his head. “How many?”

Lost Sunshine pulled out a calculator again: “Used a total of four bundles of magic potions, one bundle of advanced mana elixirs, three boxes of mid-level energy poisons, three boxes of corrosive toxins, one C-rank electric energy crystal… totaling 9,333 credits.”

“Write it down. Report back to Boss Tie later,” 186o said coldly. “What so-called masters? Pathetic. Wasted my time. Double the time charge—calculate two credits per second. Collect when we get back.”

Yu Qing was stunned. This 186o was truly a calculating genius, managing to include all those items. It was undeniable.

Cold Wolf said grimly, “You keep tallying useless stuff. Only 44 people died in total, and eight are missing. One of them is a reporter.”

186o suddenly gasped, shouting, “Damn it! Up there—sniper!”

Everyone snapped awake and rushed upward.

Wu Hua remained prone, eyes glued to the movements below, not daring to be distracted.

Suddenly, a flash of white light flickered in his scope. Wu Hua was stunned; nothing appeared abnormal in his sight. A second later, his sensor vibrated, and he made a startling move—rolling with his sniper rifle toward an empty space nearby.

Boom!

The spot where he had been lying exploded into a small crater. Ling Lan knelt on one knee, both hands gripping her sword, which was deeply embedded in the ground.

Had Wu Hua not dodged swiftly, this thunderous leap strike would have left him completely immobilized.

Looking up again, Wu Hua was surprised to see a group behind Ling Lan.

Wind Smile said, “Brother, why do you look so familiar?”

Cold Plum Snow laughed, “Hey, Brother Bao, long time no see. Your gear has changed a lot.”

Dragon Battle Star Wild was also taken aback. “Brother, is that you?”

“Sis Bao, how could it be you…” Auntie walked forward in surprise.

Wu Hua smiled, “Auntie, long time no see. I hope you’ve been well.”

Auntie froze in place, her expression complex.

Ling Lan stood up coldly. “Don’t waste words. Kill him first.”

Wu Hua laughed, “Even if you kill me, can you really turn the tide by charging up there now?”

Ling Lan’s face darkened. “You always ruin things. Have you forgotten how my big sister strangled you?”

Wu Hua sneered, “If your big sister dares show up tonight, I’ll pull down her pants.”

Ling Lan’s face grew icy as she raised her sword to strike but was stopped by Dragon Battle Star Wild.

“Brother, looks like you’re just here for money. Let’s not damage our friendship. If you let us through, I promise not to make things difficult for you.” Dragon Battle Star Wild assessed the situation. Once Wu Hua’s sniper rifle was engaged in close quarters, he lost the advantage. Their comrades below might not be a match for them, but in close combat, Wu Hua was unmatched.

Wu Hua said calmly, “You don’t have the right to call me brother. Anyone allied with Blue Corporation is my enemy.”

Dragon Battle Star Wild’s face tightened. “I’m also just here for money. You should know my wife’s connections with them. I hope you understand, brother.”

Wu Hua laughed heartily, “I’ve understood you long ago. The question is, who will understand me?”

Dragon Battle Star Wild said, “Enough. That’s the end of it. Between brothers, some friction is unavoidable today.”

Wu Hua smiled, “Well said. Our paths were never meant to be the same.”

At that moment, Snow Night Fairy and Fiery Girl climbed up as well. Fiery Girl was stunned to see Wu Hua, then quickly realized that the sniper above had been shooting with deadly accuracy, yet she had managed to roll safely down the dirt embankment—clearly Wu Hua had held back.

Fiery Girl stepped forward. “Brother Bao, we’re friends. I don’t want to be your enemy. I know you were lenient just now. But the grudge has a head and the debt a debtor. You must be unhappy with the big boss. I won’t attack, but whether you yield is your choice.”

Wu Hua praised her, “As expected of Sister Fiery, you know how to talk.”

At that moment, Cold Wolf and his group caught up, and the two factions finally faced each other.

Dragon Battle Star Wild was surprised again. “Yu Qing.”

Yu Qing responded coolly, “Boss!”

Dragon Battle Star Wild’s expression darkened. “You shouldn’t be here, and you definitely shouldn’t block my way. Have I not treated you well?”

Yu Qing said, “Boss, that last sentence should have been for Sister Xue, not me. I appreciate your kindness.”

Dragon Battle Star Wild’s face was quite ugly. “Yu Qing, did Mr. Tie offer higher pay than I did?”

Yu Qing replied, “Boss, you’re mistaken. Mr. Tie’s offer was just about money. But your conditions have gone beyond the realm of a deal.”

Wind Smile was dumbfounded.

Lost Sunshine whispered, “What’s going on? They seem to know each other? Could this soldier be trying to win Yu Qing’s favor as a concubine?”

186o said, “I’d bet on it.”

Cold Wolf raised his gun and said coldly, “One-on-one or group fight, you pick. But let me make this clear: I won’t activate single duel mode. Anyone who dies and drops levels can only blame their own bad luck, me included.”

Cold Wolf looked as imposing as Dragon Battle Star Wild but carried a colder, more indifferent aura, which intimidated the crowd—even Wu Hua was somewhat surprised. Was this guy really so arrogant?

Snow Night Fairy spotted 186o in the crowd and whispered a few words to Ling Lan, whose expression changed slightly.

186o stepped forward, smiling, “You Blue Corporation chicks, even if your big sister Azure Sky is here, you should show me some respect. Go back, or I’ll have to act. Losing a level wouldn’t be worth it for you.”

Wind Smile shouted angrily, “Who the hell do you think you are, speaking like that?”

186o chuckled, “Of course, I’m no one special—I’m human.”

Wind Smile snapped, “I’ll take you on. If you’ve got the guts, face my blow.”

“Don’t talk about one blow, I can take ten from you,” 186o sneered.

“Anyone can talk big; try me if you dare,” Wind Smile was already gathering magic energy secretly.

“Just you?” 186o laughed. “You’re not even worth the fight. Call in two more.”

“Damn it.” Wind Smile abandoned all composure, pointed his energy staff forward, and released a gust of wind that transformed into countless sharp wind blades in the air. This was the “Storm Blade” skill, only available at level 25. Each individual blade dealt modest damage, but the overall power was fierce—like a river of blades striking a person, each causing 300 points of damage.
