Interstellar: The Super Empire

Zhong Yun nearly threw his cards at his friend’s face. “What the hell are you—” He stopped mid-sentence when he saw Xiao Ruo stick out her tongue and raise her card. “I’m number five. Who’s number three?”

Chen Wen, quick-eyed, saw the card in Zhong Yun’s hand and pointed at him. “It’s him.”

Seeing it was Xiao Ruo, Zhong Yun breathed a sigh of relief. In his mind, Xiao Ruo had always been calm and composed and wouldn’t join in their nonsense. He was about to suggest they call it a night.

Xiao Ruo sat right beside him. Just as he turned his head toward her, a pair of fair, delicate arms slipped around his neck.

Zhong Yun’s body stiffened, and before he could react, a pair of soft lips, faintly scented of mint, pressed against his own.

They’re all crazy.

Zhong Yun screamed internally, his hands instinctively pushing forward to shove her away. Instead, they landed on something soft and yielding.

Xiao Ruo let out a soft, sweet whimper from her nose, her body going limp as she fell backward, pulling Zhong Yun down on top of her as her arms clung tightly to his neck.

The five onlookers had never witnessed such a real-life spectacle. Excitement surged through them, and when they saw Zhong Yun clumsily groping Xiao Ruo’s chest, their blood raced. Eyes wide, they didn’t dare miss a single detail.

Pressed against a soft, youthful body radiating vitality, Zhong Yun’s breath grew rapid. Xiao Ruo was undeniably beautiful, her skin pale and delicate, her figure petite but exquisitely shaped.

To be this close to such a lovely girl—if Zhong Yun had no reaction, he’d have to be dead inside.

Enough.

A teenage boy’s body is a vessel of raging hormones. The slightest spark ignites him. Zhong Yun’s passion surged to his head, all reason discarded. He took the initiative, his tongue slipping into Xiao Ruo’s mouth, teasing her shy, fragrant tongue.

Xiao Ruo’s cheeks flushed crimson, her eyes half-closed, soft whimpers escaping her nose—whether from discomfort or pleasure was impossible to tell.

It was a moment of utter abandon, impossible to stop.

Just then, at that crucial instant, Chen Wen suddenly spoke up. “Crap. The teacher’s making rounds.”

His words struck like a thunderbolt, snapping the pair out of their fevered embrace. Zhong Yun came to his senses, leaping off Xiao Ruo, his face burning with embarrassment.

Xiao Ruo let out a faint cry, burying herself beneath her blanket in shame, unable to face anyone. Her whole body trembled uncontrollably as her cheeks burned hot, the heat spreading throughout her body. Oh God, how could I have done such a thing?

Tian Hai sprang up nimbly. “Come on, we need to go! If the teacher catches us, we’ll lose conduct points!”

Chen Wen grabbed Tian Hai. “Too late. Quick, Zhong Yun, kill the lights.” The two darted into the bathroom. The other three girls weren’t slow either, each diving under her own covers.

Zhong Yun rushed to the door and had just switched off the lights when he heard the doorknob turn. The bathroom was seven or eight steps away—no time to hide there now.

He glanced around. The room was bare, no hiding spots at all. Then he saw the four beds on the floor—the one with Xiao Ruo was closest.

Without time to think, he lifted Xiao Ruo’s blanket and slipped underneath. The moment the blanket fell, the door clicked open. The tap of high heels echoed into the room.

Zhong Yun pressed himself tightly against Xiao Ruo’s back. The moment their bodies touched, Xiao Ruo began to tremble even more violently.

She was lying on her side, knees drawn up. Zhong Yun mirrored her, the two pressed close, separated only by two thin layers of clothing. Both could feel the heat radiating from the other’s body.

For two young people to be pressed together so intimately—it was almost obscene. Especially since their earlier kiss had already lit the fuse.

Now, with passion not yet faded, forced together again, it was like a spark to dry tinder—impossible to control.

Zhong Yun couldn’t take it. He felt a fire raging within him, making his mouth dry and his body hard as steel, pressing right up against the curve of Xiao Ruo’s hips.

The sensation sent Xiao Ruo’s breath spiraling out of control.

God, how could he… how could he do this?

She’d had biology class; she knew very well what that burning, iron-like thing pressing against her was. The heat and hardness made her heart race so wildly she thought it would leap out of her throat.

She knew she had to stop him, but her whole body felt weak and limp, unable to muster any strength. Behind her, the sound of his heavy breathing tickled her ears, the hot breath on her earlobe sending tingles straight to her heart.

Her mind grew hazy, her heart floating as if on clouds.

From the floor came the rhythmic click of heels, growing closer. Zhong Yun’s heart pounded in his chest, a thrill of clandestine excitement unlike anything he’d ever known.

The teacher was less than a meter away, while he hid in a girl’s bed, in the girls’ dormitory, holding a sixteen-year-old girl, his lower body pressed against her most sensitive place. Just the thought made his blood boil.

Desire began to erode all of Zhong Yun’s reason.

Finally, the female teacher made a circuit of the room and left. She wasn’t overly conscientious; she’d just noticed the cards and drink bottles scattered on the floor and had come in to check. Seeing nothing amiss, she left.

Bang.

As soon as the door closed, the bathroom door silently opened. Tian Hai pressed his ear to the door, listening for the teacher outside.

Chen Wen looked around, not knowing where Zhong Yun had hidden, and whispered, “Zhong Yun, the teacher’s gone. Come out.”

With immense effort, Zhong Yun let go of Xiao Ruo, lifted the blanket, and crawled out.

Tian Hai happened to see this and stared in astonishment. “Damn, you pulled that off?”

Chen Wen glanced at Xiao Ruo, still curled up under her blanket. “With that figure of yours, even under a blanket you can’t hide.”

The other three girls, having just thrown off their own blankets in relief, heard this and burst out laughing.

Tian Hai protested, “So chubby girls have no rights? Careful, I’ll sue you for discrimination!”

Laughter rippled through the room. The girls had always been well-behaved—never had they experienced anything so thrilling as tonight. Not only had they witnessed a live love scene, but they’d almost been caught by a teacher. Now, a sense of relief washed over them, as if they’d survived a great ordeal.

Tian Hai suddenly opened the door, poked his head out to check, then beckoned to Zhong Yun and Chen Wen. Like a nimble, plump cat, he slipped out, and the other two hurried after.

“Goodnight, ladies,” Chen Wen called as he closed the door, not forgetting to bid the girls farewell. Once the three boys had left, the girls fell into a contemplative silence.

After a long while, the petite girl who couldn’t sleep finally called out in Xiao Ruo’s direction, “Xiao Ruo, are you asleep?”

The girl on the other side of the petite one replied, “She’s been asleep for ages. Don’t disturb her.”

“How do you know, Xiao Fen?”

“She hasn’t moved at all under her blankets,” Xiao Fen answered.

“Xiao Ruo was really bold tonight,” another sleepless girl chimed in. “She always seems so quiet and gentle. Who’d have thought she’d dare to kiss a boy first?”

The petite girl suddenly let out a giggle. “Could it be that Xiao Ruo has a crush on Zhong Yun?”

“Impossible,” Xiao Fen denied.

“How do you know?”

“I…” Xiao Fen was Xiao Ruo’s best friend; she knew her friend had feelings for someone else, but she didn’t want to betray her secret.

“Zhong Yun isn’t good-looking, he’s not tall, his grades are bad, and he’s dull. What girl would like him?”

None of the three noticed the slight tremble of the blanket covering Xiao Ruo. After everything that had happened, how could she possibly sleep?

Though muffled by the blanket, the conversation still reached her ears. Hearing Xiao Fen’s assessment of Zhong Yun, she thought to herself, “Yes, he’s not handsome, not tall, his grades are terrible—how could I possibly like him? Of course not.”
